Dino Miniworld preview photos of progress in the work

Here some preview photos of the Dino Miniworld sets in the work, I am still working on some other parts, such as the dinosaurs, (still need their color) and other parts are done but not assemble yet for testing, such as more Minipeople and an updated version of the camp (which was originally posted earlier on the blog)

But good progress is being made and these should be available in the near future. I am also preparing a comic booklet to accompany these new Dino Miniworld sets.

Preview photos of new projects in the work

Here some photos of new projects I have been preparing, as you can see some are nearer completion while others are still in the rough stage, though a lot of the creative work is already done. Some changes may happen in the final stage.

So far for this coming year I am planning some new sets for the Dino Miniworld, as well as new Minipeople and a series of dinosaurs; a new castle tower with Minipeople; another Miniworld Bible set and if time, some more paper model set for the story of Bidou and Boubou, for younger ones. And some art projects too.

If you have ideas of projects I could create for the Miniworld sets, write me, I can't promise I'll do everything, but it might gives me new ideas.

So here the photos

Dino Miniworld - ruin temple entrance

Dino Miniworld - jungle village

Dino Miniworld - a new exploration truck

Castle Miniworld - vikings

Update and Preview of Project in the Works—April 19

It has been awhile since I posted new projects on the blog, besides the monthly 3D calendar, but I have been working on the castle and though it is not done yet, here are a few preview photos.

I am working on the first two sections, one will be a house, the other the guard’s tower. As you can imagine there are lots of details involved. Both sections will have a basement, the oubliettes, and a secret passage.

After doing the mock-up and fixing all the details, to make sure everything fits well together, I have started on the texture for the different parts; here you can see a preview of the small room under the house.

The house itself is different from my original model, but will still have plenty of interesting details to place inside and a nice fireplace.

It will have new people and creatures, (and many different accessories that you can make to furnish your castle).

Here’s a photo of the guard tower, though it will be somewhat different in the final.

And here are a few sample pages of the texture being worked on.

And if you are interested, here are some books I have been collecting on castles and medieval life, for inspiration. I’m including here a list of the titles and authors of these books, in case you would like to order them on line or at your local bookshop.

Again, thank you for your comments and letters, it is always a great encouragement. And to those of you who have sent donations, your gifts are a great help to continue to producing.

Thank you, Didier

Some News and Preview - February 2012

Thank you for all the notes and comments and letters. I didn’t post very much these past two months but I have been working and preparing different projects.

Here a few sample of art I have been working on:
(these illustrations are copyright and may not be reproduce)

And here some photos of projects in the work to be posted hopefully soon

First, new parts for the Dino Mini World:

A waterfall with rocks and 2 new tiles, a set of river tiles and a small jungle hut with a new character to add to your sets.

Also in the work for the Dino Mini World: a rope bridge, dinosaurs and crocodiles and 2 new characters (the villains) and their fantastic flying machine.

I started work as well on another set: Castle Mini World, you have seen a picture of the model I had already made, but I am fixing and re-layout the different parts and adding a new level under the castle with secrets passages and oubliettes so the little people may have many adventures

And a new set of Bible paper Toys: the story of Moses

So do check again for others news (of smaller projects) or to download some of these models.

Thank you for your help and financial support as well, I live on a small income and work on these different projects in order to share them with everyone and your gift and donations help me to continue to be able to give them out for free. Thank you,

Didier
